What started out as a dream quickly evolved into an idea, which soon developed into a business concept and eventually became a reality. From its central commissary in Miami, Half Moon Empanadas produces its artisanal empanadas, made from scratch, by hand and with the best ingredients.

Half Moon Empanadas launched its innovative concept in August of 2008, after several years of planning and research. The business is led and operated by its original owners, Pilar Guzman Zavala and Juan Zavala, who aim to expand the brand and spread hand-held satisfaction throughout the country…one empanada at a time.
